This was my first time to see an eye doctor and it took three hours from start to finish. I was there due to a psoriasis flare up effecting my vision, eyelashes and around the eyes. During this entire time, I only was given five minutes with the eye doctor. He never asked was there anything else I needed. I have gotten a few pairs of glasses there. The new ones I have, I have had them adjusted several times. "keep sliding down messing up my vision ". I have progressive bifocal When i take the off they sit very uneven. I liked the frame, however maybe not the right fit. If this is the case, staff should have told me. The arms of the glasses go way down the back of my ear. Ive been back & forth at least 4 or 5 times coming from Edgewater. I went there for a eye injury and I asked the doctor did he do a full eye exam he said no you can see another doctor when you come back for eye injury follow up so I went back and found out he charged my insurance for full eye exam the want to charge me $50 for eye glasses prescription when I have medicare and Medicaid I'm never going back
I make my appointments one year in advance. I have been going to this location for 6 years. Received a letter (dated 1/7/25) stating that they tried reaching me by phone (I have no missed calls and no voice mails for a return call) the letter stated that they no longer took my insurance. Their website plainly states that they take BOTH my insurances. I emailed (1/12/25) them from their website and stated the same and that I wanted to keep my same appointment and time.
