Place has gone downhill bigtime! We used to count on Tommyknocker for good beer and better food. Ate there yesterday for lunch... Took 20 min just to see our server, burgers were overcooked, rootbeer came in hot mugs, took about an hour to finally get food, and all of our stomachs hurt 1 hr later. I would skip it unless your a tourist from out of state!

HO-LY YUM! This place is a must when in Idaho Springs. I have never in my life seen such generous portions of chips, fries, AND a fully packed burrito. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. These people know how to cook well, and on top of that their staff is an absolute delight! Ali was a phenomenal waitress. Attentive and gave great suggestions. Definitely adding Tommyknocker's to the list of "must try!!!" for all of my family and friends traveling to CO. Bravo!
Black Powder and the Amber were incredible. Wings were excellent. Finally had a beer in the Tommyknocker Tavern, check out Turnpike Troubadours Kansas City Southern, it's why I stopped in. That and breaking down in Idaho Springs. Great service from a friendly staff. A hidden gem.
