save your money – if you like shitty food for an above average price, this is the place to go. for those who rated 5 stars... im sorry your lives are so sheltered that THIS is what you think excellent food is. you probably rate hamburger helper 4.5 out of 5. tomatina is salt infested mediocre "italian" food that doesnt leave you wanting anything except the check. service wasnt rude, but certainly slow. dont get the antipasto salad unless u want a head of iceberg lettuce on ur plate. RIP to my 42$ that ill never get back agai... read more

Great Food – I recently went here for lunch during a business trip. There was no wait, the staff was friendly and the food was GREAT. We had pizza and salad. The pizza was WONDERFUL. I promised to make a stop there everytime I am in town. It's location in Downtown, near shops and cafes, makes it a fun and convenient place to be.

the jewel of n. main st. – I'm sorry but i just have to say that i could eat at Tomatina every single day. the turkey piadine is amazing, the garlic rolls are delectable and the service incredibly appropriate for how ridiculously busy it is at almost any time of the day. i read the review below stating that the staff was rude and clueless...i have never experienced that in the three years i have been going there. maybe stale1 should a) take a look around and see how busy all of the servers are and b) try being a little nicer... read more

SCRUMPTIOUS FOOD! – My recent visit to Tomatina with my family, a group of 11 was a great success. During our early Sunday afternoon visit, the friendly staff accommodated our large group within 20 minutes. The food was flavorful and delectable. I was especially impressed with the freshness of herbs in my Caprese Piadine, which contained tasty fresh mozzarrella, oven-dried tomatoes and pesto, among other ingrendients. We also had the Pesto Pomodoro and "Spicy" Three Cheese Pizzas. All came out rich in flavor and well-prepare... read more

Love this place! – My family and friends love this place! My favorite is the turkey piadine, but everything else has been tasty as well. The service we've received has always been courteous and friendly, we've never had to wait more than 30 minutes, and it is always crowded. I'd eat here every week if I could. I wonder if maybe the people who complain about every restaurant on citysearch, well, maybe they might be a high maintenance? Just a thought...

Ok food, not ok service – This place needs to re thinnk their hiring process. The immature woman manager is rude and classless and the wait staff is lazy and clueless. The food has improved, but the service makes you want to run!

a great little italian place – Tomatina is a wonderful italian restauratant located in downtown Walnut Creek, an extremely pleasant place to wander around and shop. The food is delicous, the pizza thin and wood fired to perfection, the salads always fresh, the lasagna always cheesy and delicious (though I must admit that the pizza is far and away my favorite) Just be prepared to wait 30-60 for a table at peak hours, I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about, this place is ALWAYS crowded. Its worth the wait thoug... read more

Very good food for a reasonable price – Chicken piadine and spaghettini are my favorites. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.
