My only experience with the Tomah VA was a gentleman who was driving one of the buses. I don't know if he was going to La Crosse or back to Tomah, but I was stopped at the BP in West Salem, with the hood of my van up. I saw him go into the store (I was on the phone), but when he came out, he came over to ask if he could help. My van had overheated and I was afraid to try and take the radiator cap off. The cookout by the pond was a joke. All I got was 1 burger. I don't know why they ran out of fish so fast. And Apparently Serving Your Country Isn't Good Enough To get you a handful of chips. Lousy job by the recreation staff!
I entered the VA healthcare system yesterday for the first time as a patient. I must say I am impressed.. Tomah, Wisconsin has a strong, efficient team!

since moving to Tomah February 2008, and prior to that and yet continuing at Madison since January 2000!!! pain, tears, hurts, inconveniences, sure, but it is great to be alive. I have had great help from many VA personnel at Madison and Tomah facilities!!!

Too bad they're discriminating against veterans with service dogs that are not trained by those they see fit even though the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 says a person can train their own service animal
