I am a 66 year old male suffering from bursitis. I found Dr Smith on the net searching for a non surgical fix. The home page on Dr Smith's website talks about his Shockwave Therapy and its success. I made an appointment and drove 1 1/2 hours. When I got there I filled out all of the usual forms, was placed in a room and taken for x-rays. My older sister had her hip replaced by Dr. Smith a few years ago. Her recovery was fast with minimum discomfort. When it came time for me to get my knee replaced, she suggested that I make an appointment with Dr. Smith since she thought her whole experience went real well. The BEST knee/hip surgeon in the area!! I had both knees done, the first by another doctor, had multiple complications, in the hospital for 4 days, lots of pain and swelling, incision took a long time to heal. Had the second one done by Dr Tom Smith, went home same day, had pain but not like the first time, healed much faster, driving in 3 weeks, went back to work in 7 weeks. Feeling great! walking up to 3-4 miles a day 4 months post op. I’ve recommended him to 5 people.
Dr. Smith did an incredible job with my hip replacement surgery in 2019 where at age 50 I was out the next day and did my own home exercises. He listens patiently and is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He and his staff are top notch professionals and would recommend him to anyone that needs this type of surgery.
Dr Smith has taken care of my knee using non surgical treatments for years. I have the utmost confidence in his expertise and have referred friends and family to him, including some from out of state, for joint replacement.
I chose Dr. Smith after meeting with a few other options because he is far better. He knows more, cares more, and the office is run very well. Dr. Smith did an incredible job with my hip replacement surgery. At 83 years old other doctors didn't want to take on my case, but Dr. Smith addressed all my concerns. He and his team including anesthesiology and nurses were extremely professional. His innovative use of nerve block instead of general anesthesia has made for a quick recovery. Every aspect of the process, from pre-surgery tests, through surgery, post-surgery recovery, and follow-up at home has been beyond my expectations.
