Toloache gets its name from a famed Mexican plant, which is an ingredient in love potions. Chef Julian Medina, inspired by his Mexican roots, opened Toloache in the heart of the Theater District. Amazing food. Great service. One of my faves! Overall a great experience that was a bit off the beaten path but an amazing choice!
First of all, our waiter was a gem! As a party of six, our tips were added in the bill. We gave him an extra $20 and he was kind enough to say his tip was on the bill...but we said, we know, this is for you! He was awesome but I had too many watermelon margaritas! I had the shrimp quesadilla and cactus fries (fun but not a fan) and I must say that we will be back in December! The kind of food experience you dream about! :)
