About this business

Toloache gets its name from a famed Mexican plant, which is an ingredient in love potions. Chef Julian Medina, inspired by his Mexican roots, opened Toloache in the heart of the Theater District. Head there before a show for a fusion of flavors and a wide selection of tequila. The menu is a contemporary take on Latin cuisine. Enjoy suckling pork grilled over the wood-fired oven with one of their exotic margaritas. The decor of hand-painted tiles, vibrant yellow walls and ornate lamps set the perfect scene for your great meal... read more

On a weekend trip from Virginia, recommended by a friend. We made reservations for dinner before our 8pm show. Everything was amazing! We had the manchego cheese quesadilla and the carne asada steaks, all of which were excellent. We finished off with the chocolate cake and spiced Mexican coffee. Delicious and would highly recommend this restaurant!

We loved it! The grilled octopus was the best I've ever had. The grasshopper tacos were good and spicy (just don't think too much about what it is!). The dessert sampler was a great end to the meal! Definitely recommend!

We had time to spend between a play and dinner so went there because it was National Margarita day. We sat at the bar and enjoyed delicious drinks and guacamole. The bar tenders were friendly and attentive.
