Me and my husband came last night to check it out. We loved the entire feel of the place. Our waiter was awesome and attentive. The live music we heard from John Mason and Kat MaGee truly gave us a reason to come back. Excited to come again and bring some friends.
Service was ok but I ordered the tacos al carbon and they were not very good. Why I know, because I went there Wednesday evening and had ordered the same thing and that evening I could easily claim they were the best tacos al carbon I have ever had. Conclusio, either I was very lucky the first time or the kitchen is very inconsistent in cooking. Not sure, I may go there again but will not have high hopes for the food.
Great steak. Tons of local beer choices. Fast, friendly service.
The special recipe of the chili here is unique and tasty, with just enough heat to give a little kick. The atmosphere is Texas early country music, and the building is clean and historic. I highly recommend it.....
Its been almost 3 long years since I have been able to have Chili. But that TerlinguaBurger was the best ever .... Thank You .....
We are from Athens, Ga. visiting family and decided to try Tolbert's for dinner.....we were not disappointed.....the chili was delicious and was even better left over! We also had a wonderful conversation with the owner's daughter and when she found out my husband was in the military she discounted the meal! It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed it very much!
First visit. Chicken fried chicken, pot roast, mashed potatoes, pinto beans were all very good. Service was good. Not great, but acceptable. Will definitely consider visiting again.
I been there three times for dinner with some friends ,and always get good service ,friendly staff, great food, and music, great place to have fun on weekends!
