Dr Toland became very angry while doing a colonoscopy on me. I had warned him that I could not tolerate that nasty preprocedure liquid. I did drink as much as I could tolerate before vomiting. Guess he fired me since I never heard from him again. This despite a personal history of polyps and family stomach cancer. Ethically he should have at least referred me to another provider.
Dr. Toland has been my gastroenterologist for more than 25 years. Since I have a family history of colon cancer, he has been especially diligent in my care.
He takes his time, listens and does not rush through the appointment. He is open to answer questions and respects what you say.
Dr. Toland is a wonderful caring doctor. He is compassionate and always puts you at ease. He saved my life and fixed my stomach issues. I’ve been seeing him now for almost 20 years. I have the highest standards and always research any dr I go to prior. It made me sad that you might scroll past him due to these low scores, I cannot understand his low reviews at all? I fully recommend him. He is the Rolls Royce of Gastroenterologists!
Dr Toland gave me an antibiotic Rx last year "just in case" i had a flare up. He said these things tend to come up on the weekend or when I'm out of town. SO, I'm having a very painful flareup right now and i called to get another Antibiotic Rx, and was told, "no" you will have to see the Dr but he is out of town. THAT'S THE REASON HE GAVE ME THE Rx LAST TIME IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dr. Toland Hands Down is the Best!!! I have had 2 Colonoscopies with Him & He is So Kind, Experienced, & Informative. Yesterday I had my 2nd Colonoscopy & He & the Nurses, Anesthesiologist, etc. were All SO Comforting & All Went So Smoothly. Thank You Dr. Toland & Staff! Sincerely, Robin Milner
Dr Toland knows his stuff...very pleasant demeanor, listened to my issues. Explained things very well. I know this sounds simple, but he recommended a fiber powder supplement..just to try as a first attempt, to just see if it would solve the issues I had...and low and behold...it totally worked! I'll take a simple solution any day and I would not have believed that it was all I needed unless I had tried it and it worked. Glad he didn't go straight for a prescription and tried something easy and natural. Props Dr T!
I have been a patient since 2006 when I was diagnosed with colon cancer. He and his staff helped me through the whole process. I trust Dr. Toland and his staff. Never a bad experience. He is the best.
