RecommendedWe had dinner there last night and it was amazing. I had the fried chicken, something I haven't dared order in a restaurant since I left Maryland 50 years ago. It was wonderful. Along With the cole slaw and collard greens, it was like a family reunion. Oh and the biscuit! A giant, flakey, tender biscuit served with homemade raspberry jam. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits. For starters, where do you even find this on a menu? To say nothing of the fact that it was perfection in a bowl. RecommendedBeen here a couple times before, and it’s always a treat. The new owners have upgraded the menu and the mattresses, which is nice. Rustic with some modern touches. A true chance to get away.

RecommendedEveryone should experience this fantastic 1885 built hotel in Tokeland. The hotel is historic, maybe haunted and a work in progress with wonderful new owners Heather Earnhardt and Zac Young. We stayed three nights and can’t say enough about the food and service.
