We come to Tokeland for day trips to the beach and always stop in at the Tokeland hotel for meals. All their food is good!! But our favorite is shrimp and grits!!! It's our go to place for any meal. We live an hour and a half away.
WARNING... DO NOT BOOK EVENTS HERE! We had wanted to host our wedding in Tokeland, and fell in love with this hotel as a possible location. We met with Heather (owner) and Nick to see the property and discuss options. We swiftly put down a $2500 Deposit to secure our date. We visit often, takes us back to our Southern roots. Excellent food in comfortable surroundings. Did I mentioned the ghost?
My husband and I spent two fabulous nights here and was very pleased with everything about it. Our waitress, Carmel, was wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable and was a pleasure to visit with. The seafood was so fresh and delicious and the quaint atmosphere with the fireplace room was just perfect. We will definitely be back, even with the couple little “haunted” episodes we experienced, which we thought were awesome.
We love this special, beautiful, historic and comfy hotel. The owners are carefully adding special artifacts that match the time era of the mid to late 1800’s while making the place have a cozy feel. The food is outstanding too! The inn’s guest rooms are also wonderful with comfy furniture and antiques. We will be back!
