He could be a good doctor but his admin skills/staff are horrendous. As such, I do not think I could trust him. As well, this failure to return calls just leaves patients suffering. I get it, you do not want new patients- just say so on your voicemail. I left several messages on his voicemail seeking to make an appointment. Some flaky person did call me back once like ten days later- and he basically says "you called a while back so we assume your found what you needed, good luck to you." I came to see Dr. Cox after an unpleasant experience with another DC psychiatrist. I couldn't be happier that I made the decision to leave my previous mental health provider. Dr. Cox is so easy to speak with. I really enjoyed my time with him. I felt he listened to me completely, and actually cared about what I had to say. Fantastic doctor!

Dr. Cox is an outstanding psychiatrist. He is very knowledgeable in his field which is no surprise considering -- in addition to his private practice -- he teaches at Georgetown & Johns Hopkins. He is an excellent clinician, very easy to talk to, a good listener, explains things very well, and is just an all around nice guy. I would absolutely recommend him to family or friends without hesitation.
