I was referred to Dr. Makiyama about 4 years ago by a work mate after I was recommended to have 5 crowns done by my last dentist who said I would have infections within a year if they were not done. Dr. Makiyama gave me a second opinion and I've been a patient since. In the last last 4 years, other than a couple fillings, I've been problem and symptom free. He probably saved me several thousand dollars. Recommend? Already have.
My family and I have been patients of Dr. Makiyama's now for about 7 years (give or take). Not only is he the only dentist for our family, but he's turned my husband around who has been a lifetime scardy-cat. He's taken incredible care of my kids since they were 2, but has restored my teeth to health and replaced a few with dental implants on my husband after many years of complete neglect. ******Very knowledgeable,straight to the point. His dental diagnosis are excelent compared to others i had gone to. His not there after your money, but to make you happy. The only thing i say is to have receptionist improve Customer service skills.Even though she was sweet and very friendly
I used to dread going to the dentist, Dr. Makiyama has made getting my teeth cleaned almost a pleasant experience.
The front office staff is wonderful and Dr. Makiyama is very hands on and makes you feel comfortable. My son, because of Dr. Makiyama's interaction with him, has absolutely NO fear of the dentist. And he does a wonderful job...his work is impeccable.
I had a bridge fitted and placed by Dr. Makiyama. He took impressions on the wrong side. I had to tell him he took the wrong side. He was not paying attention. He did not take an impression of the "full arch" as I later learned he should have. The bridge did not fit well and I tried to tell him that. He glued it in anyway, said it would take time to adjust. I have been a patient of Dr. Todd's for about 5 years now. When I started, I was extremely scared, having bad experiences when I was younger. He patiently walked me through and I have been a loyal patient since. He has successfully restored my whole mouth, including 3 implants and conservatively improving the appearance of my front teeth. The last dentist quoted me $23,000. Dr. Todd restored my mouth conservatively and I have not had a problem since! I have sent my entire family and office to him.
Our family has been seeing Dr. Makiyama for about one year now. I, personally, truly hate going to the dentist (history of traumatic dental work has made me a very nervous patient). I had put off going to the dentist for a broken filling for two years, and expected the worst when I finally went in to see Dr. M . Amazingly, all the work he did was virtually painless. Very friendly office, no problem with appointments. Certainly no problems reaching them as indicated by the negative reviewer. We recommend Dr. M~
Dr. Todd just finished my 2nd implant (he did my 1st one about a year ago) and it was just as easy as the first one that he did. I feared this was going to be a great ordeal, but he made the task far simpler than I figured it would be. My friend got an implant also, but she ended up paying twice what I paid.
