I had extensive lower back surgery. I was prepared for a painful surgery and recovery. The surgery and recovery has been very gentle, almost pain free. The result resolved my back and leg pain. I'm very pleased with Dr. Gilbert's surgical skill.

I was really sad with my appointment, since I was looking forward to it. I have had extreme neck pain for over a year, and it has made sleep, work, and other activities almost impossible. Urgent care referred me to Ortho this time, since any sort of medications weren't helping the pain anymore. Dr. Gilbert was very rushed in my appointment. We did x-rays, but didn't review them. He did tests on my hands and feet, but didn't explain what they were/meant. And then he just told me to do PT, and said he would send in different m... read more

Dr Gilbert explained exactly what the procedure would entail Answered every questioned I had and put me at ease. After surgery, everyone was great and I wasn't in any pain for days. I will do a 90 day follow-up. I can honestly say that the pain that was in my shoulder, elbow, and numbness that went down my arm into my wrist and my thumb have disappeared.

Dr Gilbert got me started down the right path toward relief from my lumbar pain and low back muscle spasms, meaning he pointed me and my pain mgt doctor at the facet joints. But that's where he stopped in his discussion with me. He did not mention that the nerves inside the vertebral bones could also be the cause of my symptoms, nor that the nerves in my vertebral discs could be the cause of my symptoms. I am so impressed in Dr. Todd Gilbert, both his bedside manner and his skills as a Back Surgeon . Highly recommend.
