Excellent doctor. My mom, who is 78, went from almost losing all mobility to walking in three months. Surgery was complicated and Dr. Bonvalet was straightforward and upfront and didn't sugar coat. If you want an exceptionally skilled doctor to treat your loved one, rest assured. You might not get warm and fuzzy but Dr. Bonvalet visited daily and had excellent communication and was honest and forthcoming from day 1 through the follow up visits. Highly recommend.
This doctor has no bedside manner and frequently interrupts, making it difficult to have a respectful conversation. As soon as I mentioned that I wasn’t comfortable with spinal fusion at 29 and wanted to pursue pain management instead, his attitude completely changed. It felt as though he was more interested in pushing surgery—possibly because it’s more profitable—than in genuinely discussing what’s best for me as a patient.
My wife was in severe pain in her lower back and was basically incopassodated..Todd performed a lower fusion and when I next saw my wife she was sitting upright and munching on some ice and walking pain free within hours. Little sore from the procedure but other than that her recovery was very fast. She was back to work within 2 weeks? This was back in 2019 and she has been absolutely pain free with no issues.
This doctor is rude, disrespectful and condescending. He made me feel dumb and worthless. No bedside manners and prejudiced towards minorities. I would advise against visiting him especially if you are a person of color. This man should have his license revoked for clearly not honoring the oath he took to no discriminate against patients
Miracle Worker!!! Dr Bonvallet truly does what he loves and is a miracle worker. I had an anterior cervical fusion in June 2024 and truly came out of the OR pain free. Yes, that is correct. Pain Free!!!!! He’s explain in great detail what is going on on with your health issue, treatment options, outcomes, answers any questions, very patient focused, and caring.
