Don't go for the Mexican food. Mostly tasted salt:(

Seasoning to taste can be a slippery slope, sir. We're not known for our Mexican food so it is conceivable that we over-salted the refried beans. But I would invite you try some of our signature dishes such as chicken fried steak and golden onion rings on your next visit. Those we take some pride in and I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed. Don't be a stranger Ida de la Garza.

All the food there is delicious. It's really hard to save room for dessert. Don't forget the onion rings. Mmmmm!
Chicken fried steak was horrible, to much crust.for the price 11.00 Cheddars is better, or M/ k Davis has good Lunch Specials ...

So homey and unpretentious. SO MUCH FOOD! Good homestyle cooking with many choices. My porkchops were perfect and I have enough leftovers for another meal. My husband always gets the liver and onions and says it is never less than excellent. Onion ring order was huge, hot, and so good. We hadn't been in a few years, but we will definitely go back more often.

Pie,pie,pie!Onion rings and burgers with family or pie and coffee for date night! This place has both and we are there at least once a month! Must have!

Awesome onion rings. Fantastic pie, especially the chocolate refrigerator pie.
Customer service was really good ,however the "famous" chicken fried steak was bland. The food here is more suited towards older retirees. Food was cooked properly and if it not for the lack of flavor may have been ok. Unfortunately as I chewed the food jjst became a bland mush in my mouth and couldn't even get through half of it before sending it back. Will never return here

I'm curious. Did they bring you a better seasoned CFS by chance? Or do you mean you sent it back, pushed away from the table, tipped your wait staff, and left never to return. Is that correct?
