Chicken Fried Steak, Hot Steak, Seafood Platter, Deserts!
Been coming here since I was little. The place hasn’t changed much in terms of atmosphere since the 80’s and 90’s, but something is different when went yesterday. The chicken fried steak is still pretty good but the gravy is different and so are the fires (wasn’t much of a fan). Still, if never been I highly recommend to give it a try. Overall good clean atmosphere, wait ain’t that bad (considering how small it is), and the onion rings still best in SA.
Visiting Texas from Albany ny ,Saw this place on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. It was amazing !!!! Small family owned �the best and biggest chicken fried steak I ever ate. 6 people for lunch and the bill was $50! We were so full and still brought a whole meal home. A must, try the onion rings������
We had seen Guy's show dinner, drive-in and dives also had been there many years ago. Before we even entered a customer who just came out of the restaurant warned us not get the enchilada plate. We ordered the chicken fried plate, had to wait to get water and salad came after chicken fried steak with no utensils. Should of read the most recent reviews instead of watching it on Guy's dinner, drive-in and dives show.
