I ate there on a recommendation and it was a terrible experience. I sat outside at the Annex and ordered Tinderbox food. I had no service even after orfering a $36 Rib Eye! My waiter Nick took off after taking my order. No one ever checked on me to see if I needed more water, iced tea or even any bread or to ask how the meal was. On a trip to California, we stayed overnight in Flagstaff and found the Tinderbox. We had a fabulous meal, starting with the pork belly and blue cheese grits for an appetizer, followed by jalepeno Mac n cheese with duck. My spouse had the cauliflower soup and the shrimp and grits. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. On our return home to Missouri we visited them again. Great chef!
Yum,yum, yum! We shared the fried brussels sprouts, I had the lamb, he had the duck Ah-maZzing!!
We liked it was a fun place and food was different but really good
Inventive recipes where the ingredients compliment each other yet you can still taste each one individually. The local craft beer with coffee and vanilla highlights was outstanding.
