I received excellent care and recommend him highly.
Dr. Short was competent and successful in taking care of an epidermal intrusion cyst on the bottom of my foot. This involved several visits to determine the problem, including ultrasound and xray (done elsewhere)to further identify what was going on and how best to deal with it. Throughout, he appeared to be as interested in what I had to say and ask, as I was in his expertise. Excellent doctor and equally important...a great staff!Dr Short took the time to lsiten and his staff returned all calls ASAP.
Dr. Short and staff are the best as far as I am concerned. I was always seen on time or before the scheduled appointment time. My tendon repair surgery was very successful and follow up appointments always pleasant. I used the recommended aids and was able to walk sooner than I expected. I would definitely recommend Dr. Short to anyone with foot problems.
The staff were polite, personable and efficient. I have used several podiatrists in other cities, but Dr. Short is by far the best. He has a very nice and friendly personality. He answered my questions with obvious professional knowledge and performed a treatment procedure expertly, minimizing any discomfort. I have already recommended him to family members. In addition, the office and treatment room were very orderly and clean. Dr. Short was recommended to me by my general physician.
I did not have the same experience as the other reviewers. I was referred to Dr. Short by Dr. Crane, an excellent family practioner. Although I found Dr. Short's staff to be extremely personable, the doc himself was not. He came into the exam room half an hour late, did not ask me any questions beyond what he had read in my chart, & did not seem to take my problem seriously or to be interested in my problem at all. Could not agree more with all the high ratings and comments. Very impressed with his knowledge, personality and communicating style. Now, if I could only find an orthopedic doc as on top of his game as Dr. Short.....
Dr. Short is one of the most congenial and communicative doctors I've ever known. He took time to listen to my description of my symptoms, proposed multiple causes, described the probable cause and suggested a commercially available orthotic to start with. Since that has had limited results, we are looking at neurological scans of foot and leg muscles. He spoke directly to my fear of winding up in a wheelchair. I really appreciate his honesty and knowledge.
