Food is fantastic. Great service, staff are very friendly and always checking our table. It was worth the wait because when I was in Minnesota 3 years ago with my family (large group), we were not able to get a table. 3 years later, We're back in Minnesota and finally experienced the great service and delicious food of Tilia.
Fantastic spot in Linden Hills. Try the fingerling potatoes or liver mousse and have your mind blown. Went for the first time yesterday and sat at the chef's bar; the guys were fun and Megan our server was wonderful. I'll be back.
It pains me to write a bad review, as we have dined here many, many times. Ben, our waiter could not quite figure out what we were sharing, or not. The main issue, though, was that sitting at the chef counter, we witnessed the chef tasting and putting the spoon back in the food. We saw this happen with our shrimp scampi. Once Ben served it, we decided we really didn't want to risk it. Our waiter really didn't solve the problem. One of us ended up hungry at the end of the meal. Not sure we'll be back anytime soon.
