Who has the "Perfect" tamale? I would have to say Tia Dora's Bakery and Cafe. Total awesomeness!!!!! I havent had such a perfect one since my childhood and searched many years for recreation of old family friend who made them this delicious!!!

El peor servicio al cliente.! Fui a comprar pan dulce y agregué 6 tacos, pasaron 15 minutos y no me daban mi orden y fui a preguntar y con una actitud pésima me dijeron que si no habían hablado mi numero mi orden no estaba lista. Les dije que tenia mas de 15 minutos esperando. La muchacha "fue a checar" mi orden pero tardo otros 10 minutos para salir y traía mis tacos. Estaban FRIOS!! Food is great if you can get it. Have not figured out when to go when bread is fresh and food doesnt take forever to prepare. Whether or not they are busy. I keep trying because the tamales are good and the fresh flour tortillas really make a great taco.

I live in Wylie, Tx. Approximately 45 min to 1 hour from Tia Dora. I grew in Cockrell Hill where it all began, where the fresh aroma of baked bread would fill the air. There is not a place here in our area that could match this fresh delicious bread. Everytime I come to Oak Cliff I make it a point to pick our favorite conchas, a big treat for our family or the palmas. They are always fresh & soft.
