RecommendedFound the Thunderbird on accident when looking for the chain next door. I love mid-century nostalgia so I decided to give the place a try. The outside looks great, ripped from the pages of 1965. The room was very spacious, great bed, loved the moon pies on the pillow instead of mints. My one complaint is the $15 parking fee. That seems pretty excessive for overnight parking.
RecommendedMy best friend and I take a shopping trip every year. On our last trip to Savannah, we saw that the Thunderbird was being renovated. We made it a goal to stay there. We did at the beginning of November. We loved the fun, quirky atmosphere and the location was great! We will be returning guests! Yes, we even bought the T-Shirt!
RecommendedThunderbird Inn was everything we'd hoped it would be! Clean, excellent customer service, great retro personality to the whole place. The bed here was much more comfortable than any bed I've slept on at big chain hotels. And all of this for a fraction of the price that the next door hotels wanted! We will definitely be staying here if we visit Savannah again.

RecommendedStayed here on a whim for a short visit. Super cute place and more importantly CLEAN. Listen yall, Krispy Kremes in the morning and Moonpies at night! Seriously a little gem in Savannah!
Recommended10 minutes off I95. Do something different than staying with the big box highway whine brang of lodging. clean, friendly employees and retro fun.
