The only good thing I can say is that they gave us a full refund after the first night. We should have left right away when we saw the place but were tired and hungry. The outside was run down and dirty and the room was worse. Dirty carpet, stains on bedspread and blanket. Was hard to know if the sheets were even clean. There is one of those regular/magnifying mirrors attached to the wall, it was grossly filthy on the mirror, looked like it hadn't been cleaned ever. Then the coffee maker didn't worrk. I was so excited about staying here but am sad to say we won't return. The price was right the location was good although the neighborhood was questionable. As the others have noted our room was unbearably hot. This stay was a rest stop in a more than 16 hour drive and there was no resting in that heat. We gave up and left at 4am to resume driving despite our lack of rest. Perhaps this would have been a better choice in the fall or spring. As a consumer I feel "tricked" by the thermostat shuffle. Great place. Love the retro and very friendly staff. We called to let them know we would be in late and they were up and waiting when we arrived at 2 am. The parking can be tricky but a great place to stay and a short walk to all the shops!
Awesome place...like a step back in time. 2 RC Cola and 2 Moon Pies on night stand.
I arrived and our room was at 74 degrees. I went to the office and she stated temperature was controlled by a new computer system. She stated she programmed it for 69 degrees. I told her we always set it on 65 degrees and she stated she could not help me that 69 was the lowest I could have it. I told her I was not staying - she stated that I would lose my $130.30 and if I was not staying they would re rent my room for the night. We did not stay. Clean, comfortable rooms with friendly staff. Convenient to downtown Savannah, including City Market and River Street.
Superb. Week long stay. Clean, informative and friendly staff. No issues what so ever! Feels like good southern home folk. I recommend highly. Close walking to historic district. Visitor center just a block away to get to Trolly. Ask them about anything, they know this city!!!!! We are hit the ground vacationers.

They staff was friendly and answered questions without hesitation. Gave good recommendations for places to visit and restaurants that were spot on. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Mid-Century elegance and comfort. This is a must for anyone staying in Savannah. I plan on staying there as much as I can in the near future.
