Location. A surprisingly short walk to the historic center. We just dropped the car and walked around after the excellent Old Savannah tout. The Krispy Kreme breakfast was decadent. My body can only handle them once every few years.

There are no closets nor dressers. Bathroom was very small. It was adequate, but not outstanding. Parking spaces very small. Probably wouldn't stay a second time.
My husband and I came to Savannah for the Thanksgiving Riverboat Cruise and our 16th Anniversary trip and checked into our hotel The Thunderbird Inn. This is the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at and it was built in 1964 and renovated in 2016. It is definitely authentic and when we got to our room there was complimentary moon pies and RC cola. Totally awesome place and the price is tight!!!

Staff is the friendliest in the sweet Georgia south! They love their job and it shows. The manager goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasurable stay. Convenient location to all the hot spots ...no need to drive around looking for a parking spot...everything is within walking distance. The 60's music playing outside and the overall nostalgic experience puts it above the rest.
My daughter and I were in town for a midnight show and had a great overnight stay here last night. The location is out of the main hubbub of downtown but close enough to walk to City Market, Riverwalk, and much of the historic district. The rates are a bargain for Savannah, the room was spotless, and staff were friendly and helpful. The retro decor gives a fun vibe and the complimentary RC Cola and Moonpies in the room make for a true southern welcome. We had a wonderful time. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect. I definitely recommend the Thunderbird.
