This was my first time here, although my wife had stayed here before. When we decided on Treasure Island, she spoke very highly of Thunderbird Beach Resort. The staff has been very cordial. There was a complimentary happy hour on Wednesday afternoon. An entertainer provided music at the tiki bar by the pool. Sunsets are phenomenal here! The rooms are spacious and very clean. We love the Thunderbird. No negatives about anything. Love the housekeepers. Ours was Felice (sp?) great little gal and another that starts with a Q ( a different name that I should have written down.) The pool is right outside your door and the beach is past that. Conveniently located to walk to Walgreens and the grocery. Plenty of restaurants to eat at if you fly in and don't want to rent a car. The sliding window you could nearly open the pillows were 20 years old and no elevator never again
Love it , great place. Fantastic beach, pools and hot tub. Large breakfast buffet at 13.00 a person with free unlimited mimosas. Spend the extra and get a ocean front balcony room.
We stayed in April 2016 and loved it. It's a older hotel with a lot of life left. Plan on staying again this Spring and can not wait! The gulf front rooms have views like no other!!!
