My husband has aspergers, but wasn't diagnosed till he was a senior. I was just told he was a male, when he often misunderstood what I said, would interrupt me and repeat my thoughts and say he didn't hear me, and I often have to repeat things even when he's standing in front of me. I was very frustrated. Charlotte spent time with him alone, and he admitted "She's very easy to talk to." Charlotte is such a gift to our family! Our now 2-year-old was having a lot of difficulties with speech development and was saying very few words. We had actually seen another SLP who didn't really offer tailored suggestions. Charlotte was the complete opposite. Charlotte is truly amazing, both in her profession and with children. She came to our house to do an assessment on my 2.5 year old twin boys for some minor speech impediments they each have. She interacted so wonderfully with both of my boys and made the assessment fun for them. She identified their speech obstacles and worked on speech activities with them and we saw even small improvement just in our session. She explained so much to me as well and left me with techniques to work on with the boys in our day to day lives. I... read more
