Thousand Lakes Lodge is one of the most relaxing places I've ever stayed. Tucked away in the remote Central Plateau of Tasmania, it's not your typical tourist destination—this is a place to truly unwind, refresh, and reconnect with nature. I got married here! After our first stay we knew we wanted to be back so we made it a memorable return trip. The Lodge provided food and accommodation for us and our guests while Wilderness Weddings Tas provided the micro-wedding. The area is stunning and peaceful, the staff are delightful, the rooms are modern and cosy, and the food is superb. Wombats, quolls and a Tasmanian devil all came to say hello. Absolutely recommended.
We recently stayed at Thousand Lakes lodge to kick off our Honeymoon in Tasmania. From the moment we walked in to the lodge, we felt comfortable and at home. Bec was incredibly welcoming and her knowledge and passion of the plateau and conservation of the bush was apparent.
