Dr. Chemplavil is very busy for a reason! Many patients love him. He knows what he's doing and quickly solved my breathing issues. When the insurance wouldn't cover the medicine, he and his staff went through all the extra work to get an approval. I have had life long major problems and am grateful this doctor was recommended to me. It's hard to get a regular appointment cause SUPPLY AND DEMAND: there's only one of him and many patients want him.
Dr. Chemplavil was not 'present' during my visit. The visit was rushed and I left knowing nothing more about my condition than when I walked in. But I had prescriptions for 2 Inhalers, with no explanation as to what to expect or what they will do. Although his interpersonal style is distant, his lack of knowledge of my issue concerned me the most. I have GGO and he gave me the most puzzled look when I told him what they have found on the CT Scan. It appears there are better rated pulmonologists here, so I would keep looking.
Not a rushed or a rude doctor. Different from the usual treatment some doctors in Nevada gives to their patients. He is caring and easy to communicate. Offer tests in his own facility with immediate results. Recommended!
I recently saw Dr. Thomson for my severe sleep apnea. He took the time to test me on several machines and took the time to ask me many questions about my symptoms, my machine, etc. I felt that he listened, cared about me as a patient, and above all, I didn't feel rushed. I recommend him highly.
He has a very robotic personality and he likes to cancel appointments without notifying patients.
Over 4 months, 2 CT scans, 2 sets of blood work, 1 breathing test, 1 office visit, and 1 telehealth session, I have neither diagnosis nor treatment plan. 2+ months since last appt - next was to have lung functionality test. Set up for another telehealth appt, but I asked how I could have the functionality test remotely. Staff member told me that, even if I came to office, I could not have the test because there was no machine available! It has been unavailable for a month with no idea of estimated time of return -- thought t... read more
I like him! Always pleasant and answers my questions :-)
Dr. Chemplavil is professional, courteous, and very informative when explaining the diagnosis. That said, his office staff should all be canned! I've never seen such a lazy and apathetic group of people in any of my doctor's offices. After several requests to provide critical information to both my health insurance and medical device provider, I'm fighting a grievance on the part of my insurer because the staff here has failed several times to provide the necessary documentation.
You cannot get thru to the office staff at all. Leave a message and they do not call. They were told me they were waiting on insurance approval, but I called my insurance and they said it was approved 30 days before. It's like you go in once to see the Dr. and then you have dropped off the face of the earth.
