Best recommendation? He got my daughter, age 8, and son, age 6, to sit in his chair to look in their mouths. No crying, no hesitation, they even asked when we could go back? Terrific office
We had an unfortunate experience with this dentist and our 4 year old child, whom we had brought in for a cleaning. When our child squirmed in the chair the dentist grabbed him roughly by the arm and said "we're doing this my way or not at all". Our child was terrified and we immediately grabbed him out of the chair and left. We will be filing a formal complaint with the Dental Board of California as this dentist should not be allowed around children.
Dr. Jarvis has changed my whole perception of the Dental Industry. I thought that being a good dentist meant having all of the best equipment, ie fiber optic camera for "live time viewing" root canal procedures (yuck), digital x-rays and all the bells and whistles. It's all dash! Dr. Jarvis is old school and better than the high tech (high priced) dentists that rely on their technology to compensate for their any lack of knowledge they may have in procedures, well and maybe just to show off a little too. I've been seeing Dr. Jarvis since I starting working in the area 12 years ago. Best dentist I've ever had. Mom and pop shop; he does all the work himself and keeps the cost down by not hiring a roomful of unnecessary assistants. He's cordial, honest and trustworthy.
Dr. Jarvis is a wonderful dentist. I would recommend him to any one. I had previously had a tramatic experience with a dentist. Dr Jarvis handled my anxiety well. He acknolwedged my anxiety and took time to allow me to relax. Can't say enough at how grateful I am to Dr. Jarvis and Marie. I don't know where my teeth would be without them as I really struggled not wanting to go to another dentist.
Dr. Jarvis has worked on my teeth since I was about four years old. I had problem teeth and was frequently there having teeth filled. I was so at ease even as a child i would fall asleep while he was drilling, and that is saying something.
My husband and I have been going to Dr. Jarvis for at least 20 years. We love him. Gentle, dependable, thorough! We would highly recommend him to anyone! Anita and Joe Garcia
I have only had cleanings done, but they are efficient, calm and personal. Can't comment on expense yet.
