Heartless monster
Dr Schmalzreid did a hip replacement and a bilateral knee replacement for me, all in the last 5 or so years. I’m in my 70’s and play competitive basketball; I have just returned from playing in the National Senior Games. Dr Schmalzreid gave me back my active lifestyle, and did so in a caring, compassionate manner. My pain was extreme and the relief complete. I have no restrictions at all.
Excellent doctor and skilled surgeon! I recommend him unequivocally based on the treatment and surgeries he performed on both my knees. I am now 73 and still very active playing racquetball and skiing downhill thanks to the treatment provided by Dr. Schmalzried. I would like to Highly recommend Dr. Schmalzried and his staff. I have had both Hips replaced, one 15 years ago and one just a few month ago. I also have had bi-lateral knee replacement by Dr. Schmalzried 5 years ago. I am pain free and it has allowed me to stay active in my profession (contractor) as well as all my activities. Tennis, golf, biking, and now pickle ball. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to return to my normal activities from these surgeries. This I credit Dr. Schmalzrieds expertise and knowledge.
I developed severe arthritis in my right hip after years of competitive athletics and aggressive skiing. I chose the hip resurfacing procedure over a full replacement because it gave me a better chance of continuing my active lifestyle. The challenge was to find a surgeon with the required expertise and experience in preforming this procedure.
