Dr. Myers performed partial knee Makoplasty on me in 2017. Started PT and my knee swelled to three times its regular size, so I couldn’t start any strength conditioning. Six month post-op with Dr Myers, my quad had atrophied. More PT in-house didn’t help. Finally I consulted with a Duke University Orthopedist. His X-rays showed that the Makoplasty device was put in crooked, which was why my leg was bowed and I was unable to straighten it.
