I, too, saw him many years ago. I also felt the staff tried to push me off when requesting appointments, refills, etc. The last time I saw him, I was scheduled at 8am and normally I always got 8:30am appointments. When we got to the room, he was nasty to me saying "you know I don't start till 8:30am!," yet, he had escorted a 7:30am patient back to the exit door right in front of my eyes. The receptionist has no business dealing with patients. I called because I got a referral from my doctor for an ADHD evaluation, which this doctor apparently does not do. The receptionist was incredibly rude and accused me of looking for adderall. I don’t want any medications… I just wanted the help I need. Thankfully I don’t have to deal with her ever again.
Dr Svete is knowledgeable and really explores the problem. He asks appropriate questions, even if they are difficult to answer. He also helped me figure out medication and side effects. He lets me take part in my treatment plan and looks for other routes if there are side effects I do not want. I am surprised to see such bad reviews. His staff has always been great and know me by name. It's hard to say that about the bigger systems in the area. I really like him and would not go to anyone else.
I saw Dr. Svete about 15 years ago as the doctor who prescribed Ritalin for me. I stopped taking it and realized after a long period that I needed to be on it again, so I called his office for an appointment. Janet the receptionist answered. When she asked the purpose of the appointment I told her that I was a former patient and said, "I want to get back on Ritalin." The people at the front desk have been very helpful with scheduling and getting my questions answered. Dr. Svet has also been very attentive and committed to find long-term solutions to my problems
