Please consider other transplant centers before going through Jefferson. After completing all of my testing, Jefferson’s transplant center told me I needed a major surgery before they would even present my case to their board. I trusted their recommendation and went through with the operation—only to be told afterward that they needed formal approval from the surgeon before moving forward. Very caring and compassionate hospital! My son’s been there for a few weeks and they’ve done anything possible for him and I’m very pleased with the attention he gets. I would highly recommend this hospital!
