We first heard of Dr. Klein six years ago when our oldest son tore his ACL and Meniscus. He came highly recommended by another soccer player. Dr. Klein is an exceptional surgeon. We thought of no other doctor to see when our second son also tore his ACL playing soccer (six yrs later). He and his staff are very friendly.
Not so good with his office. I waited for some time as many people came after me and were called shortly after while I was waiting. I informed the front desk about this situation but made no difference. More patients came and were called while I was waiting. I finally got fed up and I cancelled my appointment. Not a good reflection on Dr. Klein, he maybe excellent but I could not attest to that as I was frustrated.
An attempt to repair a damaged hip resulting from a fall did not go well, and after four months, it was clear more work was necessary. Based on highly favorable recommendations from others, I consulted Dr. Thomas Klein of OrthoVirginia. More x-rays and a cat scan revealed that a hip replacement would be necessary--something that should have been done at the time of the fall. Dr. Klein is always friendly and professional. He listens to what I have to say. He explains things when I ask questions. I’ve been his patient since the 1990s. I would definitely recommend Dr. Klein and the other members of OrthoVirginia to anyone who needs an orthopedist.
Dr Klein explained very clearly the procedure we discussed, the risks and what to expect after discharge. He answered my questions and outlined what would be needed prior to the procedure. Information was provided for me to consider and the person and number to call when I made my decision to go forward with the procedure or with any questions that I may have.
I highly recommend Dr. Klein! After doing considerable research I decided to see him for my initial consultation regarding a possible hip replacement. As soon as I left his office I decided not to even pursue a second opinion as I was so impressed with his level of knowledge, his professionalism and his kind demeanor. An incredible doctor and top notch surgeon. Would Highly recommend anyone considering joint replacement surgery to consider Dr. Klein. Caring, professional, and very personable. Reston hospital also a top notch facility. Had both hips replaced and my only regret was why I waited so long.
I had a total hip replacement in May 2020 by Dr. Kline. I could not be more pleased with his work. He is an outstanding surgeon! He is “above the top” with his thorough and complete explanations of the surgical procedure and what to expect. He took the time to answer all of my questions.
