I filled out an application and payed the application fee and was sent an email detailing that I would be contacted via email or by phone about the rental. I never heard anything back from these people. Very unprofessional and it seems they are only screening and renting to certain people from what I have been told. I could have applied for another apartment. I wish I would not have wasted my time. They didn’t even check my application.
Rented from them for 2 years. Fair prices at reasonable complexes.
This place is a sorry excuse of a rental company/landlord. Their units are not updated or fancy by any means and yet they continue to raise the rent and make the tenants responsible for more utilities. They are not easy to work with. The rules surpass ridiculous when it comes to parking, vehicles, and visitors. Never would I rent or recommend anyone renting from any of Thomas Haas Investments.
I've been living in one of their apartments for about 6 months now. So far, all of my interactions with staff have been respectful and cordial. I can't speak on other tenants experiences but I think that a lot of problems could be solved with communication. My husband and I lived at the West Meadow Apts in Edgerton for a little over 5 years and were extremely happy. Thomas Haas Investments purchased it and everything went downhill. Rent went from $640.00 per month for a 2 bedroom up to $795.00! Plus they are charging the tenants for sewer and water, additional rental on a parking space if you have 2 vehicles, rent on the small storage bins in the basement, etc. Quite a few of the tenants, including us, live on Social Security but they don't care.
