I am a painter. I illustrate and write children's books. A few years ago, I purchased a new brand of paints. As time went by, these paints became dull on both my palette and canvas. I was very close to contacting the paint company to inform them that their pigments needed to be adjusted, but before I had a chance to do this I had cataract surgery.
