My therapist suggested this place. My goal while at THIRA was to work on my anger issues nothing more, nothing less. This f*** place felt like a trap! The meetings were all via zoom (3 hrs, for 3 days/week) so no place to release stress after, the DBT instructor kept sharing WAY too much personal information, and the homework was horrendous and not helpful at all!! The HW is solely based on Marsha's DBT book therefore we had to come up with either old stories (opening old wounds!) or fake sceneries to do a lot of the HW. Lik... read more
Horrible!! Took over a month to register our daughter. Then, having a Gluten/Dairy free diet and lectured that we all need to be on the same page regarding her meal plan- There was NO meal plan. My daughter got a GF box of Mac & cheese! By day 3, we did not know my daughter’s Medical Care Plan, nor did we know her therapist’s name- Alexia or Clair???? RecommendedAttending the intensive program at THIRA Health was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself, hands down. I simply cannot say enough about the quality of the programming there. Learning DBT skills has been an essential piece of my therapy, and I have learned skills to last my lifetime. If you are struggling, I can’t recommend them highly enough. It’s hard work and so, so worth it.
THIRA Health is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. Through their PHP and MIOP programs I have found my life worth living goal and now I am ready to tackle the world again. I dearly miss my THIRA family because of all the support and care they gave me. I 110% recommend THIRA to anyone out there.
I've been in counseling for years. I begged for tools to help me. It wasn't until I came to Thira for IOP that I finally learned some that actually help. Their program is structured in a way that really just makes sense.
My experience in MIOP was invaluable. I have come such a long way even though I'm the most willful person in the world. I fought it and fought it. It has reached me anyway. I will dearly miss my therapists and my classmates.
I cannot begin to express how much I truly appreciate my THIRA family. The level of support I received while in their programs helped me to regain my livelihood. Just wonderful.
