Think Tank Photo is a group of designers and professional photographers focused on studying how photographers work, and developing inventive new carrying solutions to meet their needs. By focusing on "speed" and "accessibility," we prepare photographers to Be Ready "Before The Moment," allowing them to document those historic moments that reflect their personal visions and artistic talents. I photograph paintball (yea, I know) and if there are 2 things you do not want to expose a camera to it's moisture and hard impacts. My favorite way of protecting the camera was the $20 ebay rain covers. I went through 1 every event, it got expensive and I hated them. I emailed ThinkTank and basically said "I don't want to invest a lot in something that will break and I will break this. Is there a coupon or anything so I can try your products" I included photos of me in very bad situations and photos of the damage my camera ... read more
I use the hydrophobia rain cover while shooting paintball events and they work incredibly well by keeping rain and paint off my equipment as well as softening the impact of the paintballs!!! very happy with Think Tank Photo products so far!!
Camera Bags You can Trust!!! #ThinkTankPhoto
They do not back their products. Sent a damaged bag and will not cover the $70 to sent it back and replace it. They believe it is ok to have a customer pay for their mistake. Not even asking for a refund, just want a working bag that doesn’t have a broken strap!
Personally, their bags are pretty good. They last pretty long and the wheels are awesome. But the rain covers come with this cheap plastic Eyepiece that eventually strips. Both of mine are shot and when I emailed them they told me that they were just pass that along to their product team and that they do not have a replacement for those. They are extremely cheap and not well-built. So, if you’re looking at buying the rain covers, which by the way are pretty solid, I would reconsider because the plastic I pieces that are cruc... read more
I was a former supporter of thinktank product until I discovered their product quality issue with ruddery material used in their bag. They disintegrate even without much use ( not wear and tear). The customer service almost does not exist. You are push to local distributor to handle. Local distributor just copy and paste the absurd response from thinktank. A company without integrity is not worth any support. It is a matter of principle that I will make the poor quality of product coupled with very poor customer known to mor... read more
I ve been using my Rotation 360 and pixel pockets for almost 15yrs, and they are still perfect.
I have been using the Speed Demon and Digital Holster 20 for the last 10 years and they are very durable and well protected from the elements. If you want good quality camera bags go for Thinktank bags.
