About this business
Here at the fresh works we bake our rolls all day long on the premises. Most sandwich shops receive a one time delivery in the AM. The rolls they use at night have been baked in the early AM. We bake a batch in the morning that usually only last until noon, and then bake every few hours depending on the flow of business. The roll you recieve at 9pm was out of the oven no longer than an hour. I believe this sets our sandwiches apart from the rest.

Get a lot of takeout from the Port Richmond fresh works. I have to say the best cheesesteaks in Philly., and I’ve eaten at a lot of places all over. Great chicken fingers and hoagies also!!!!!

The consistent neighborhood spot you go to for your hoagies, cheesesteaks, or fried foods essentials. The guys here are no bs people. I rarely ever have to wait more than 10 minutes for anything I order. Everything is fresh, they use quality deli cuts and cheese, and they’re mindful of the greasiness. They could easily open a spot with seeded breads and charge $20 a cheesesteak, but I’m glad they instead stay true to the city. The free parking lot makes transaction even better.
Amazing food. Quiet atmosphere. Very helpful employees. I can't wait to go again. The food is delicious! A real hidden treasure.
So delicious! This is the only cheesesteak shop that matters.
