The best time in town. The bands, bartenders and owners are all top notch. Warning... Once you get there, you won't want to leave. I tell anyone visiting from out of town there are 2 Austin essentials: Continental Club and The White Horse.
I'm only giving it 4 stars so it doesn't get "too popular". The definitely have the best t.w. samuels shots and coldest lonestar light in town. They probably serve other drinks, but I wouldn't know, I've only been going there for s few years so I haven't needed to order anything else yet. I'm recently moved to Austin from the Northwest, came in because it seemed like a good scene. Immediately the bar tender was rude. I was friendly and still tipped. We hung out at the scene, it was cool but the bar keeps were still rude. At the the end of the night they bitched me out for not tipping! I certainly know I did, but I can guarantee that it wasn't well. Tips are for a job well done with good costumer service, not something that you just get. One of the highlights of my trip to Austin from the UK. Great place with friendly people and super talented musicians What's not to like? Hoping to come back soon.
I live in Chicago and have traveled the world. This is by far one of the most hospitable places I've been. People were extremely friendly, The staff was Awesome, and the Music was Fantastic! Plus the Two Steppin was an art to watch!
