We stopped on a recent visit to Nashville...what a great experience! We were warmly greeted the moment we walked in, had information regarding my son's violin within seconds of it being spotted (we have had the instrument for about 6 years and known relatively little about it despite having it checked out by multiple others), and my son was encouraged to try out anything he was interested in. Fred Carpenter can't be beat! He has spent so much time with our son helping select the perfect instrument for him. We have bought two violins from him and don't even consider going anywhere else.

Worth planning a trip to Nashville, Tennessee just to visit. Old, new instrument repair, re-haired bows, great service, great follow-through, great human beings and prices for all ranges of those seeing an instrument with a spirit that is right for YOU!
