Like to send a huge Thank You to Fred Carpenter and The Violin Shop. Yesterday I stopped in with an old violin I inherited from my Great-Grandmother. I was looking for any information about it concerning age, origin, etc...Anyway, Mr. Carpenter was super nice and very knowledgeable, He told me, not only where it came from, but how she likely acquired the violin, how much she may have paid for it, and how much it may be worth today.
