RecommendedI moved in August 2018 and have re-signed for the 2019-2020 year. The staff is nothing short of amazing, and the place is really nice. Wayne goes out of his way to make sure you are taken care of (for instance, not only does he cook a resident thanksgiving meal every year, but he also drove through a snow storm to buy a bunch of pizzas on a snow day for us this past year), and maintenance is always on top of it. I have been a resident at the Villas for almost two semesters now and I could not be happier for choosing this complex to live at. I am graduate student at Penn State and was looking for a quiet atmosphere the Villas provides, as well as being around other grad students and young professionals. The Villas staff is super friendly and approachable, and every time I walk into the club house they always have a smile on their faces. Owed over 2 grand in damages when I had only lived there for a year. They were looking for an excuse to renovate the house and put all the charges on me. I don’t recommend living here.
This is an awesome place to live as a grad student or young professional!
This will be my 3rd year as a resident. I love it here! It's pretty quiet and farther from campus, but is just a bus ride or drive down the street to campus. They have a pool, gym, and free parking and bus pass, so that's super nice. I'm a pretty private person and I love having my own bedroom AND bathroom. The staff has been nothing but nice to me and treats me like family. Maintenance is also friendly and prompt. Any issue I had was fixed either that day or the next if possible. Housing - (4/5) Landscaping is well-kept and townhouse is well-furnished. Floor materials include hardwood (living room), tile (kitchen and bathrooms), and carpet (stairwell and rooms). Living room is pretty small but I don't have guests over as much. Kitchen is amazing in terms of area and storage space. I've lived here for about a year and I've never had a problem. Maintenance problems are taken care of quickly and the unit I moved into was in great shape (despite it being a pet unit). Diane and Joe are the best, they're the easiest landlords you'll ever have.
The villas is a great place to live especially as an upperclassmen. If you want a nice quiet place with extremely helpful staff I highly recommend living here. From fast e-mail responses to any in home issues to even needing help with getting my car jumped they always go above and beyond to help. The staff here is great! The free coffee and snacks they offer are also a great bonus, especially when big tests come around.
