I have worked with a lot of agencies in the past and The Villages far exceeds any. I have fostered, served on boards, and as a therapist provided treatment and worked as part of a treatment team in 4 different states and I am so impressed with the start to finish process at The Villages. I had one step left to become a foster parent. The case manager is no longer employed there and nobody else will return my calls to get my process finished...not as caring as they sound apparently 😒
I was adopted through this agency In 2002. I happened to be adopted by one of their staff members at the time (which is not ethical nor acceptable per their policies). After my brother and I were adopted, this individual gave up his rights to my little brother and had him locked up by the juvenile court system at the age of 12. My little brother became lost in the system, institutionalized, and struggled from severe Trauma. The Villages has an incredible work atmosphere! Over my 3 years working with the agency, they make serving children and families something to look forward to. Everyone is supportive and willing to work with one another.
I have been a foster parent with the Villages for just over 2 years. They have been AMAZING in supporting me and the kiddos that I’ve had in my care. I had huge issues with my first placement but they worked diligently to support me and remind me why we are all in this. I’ve heard other foster parents share concerns of their agencies and I always am quick to recommend The Villages.
