We ate here for the first time....food was terrible. The cheese logs looked like something frozen out of a box. The salad had black spots all over the lettuce which tells me it was a week old. My daughter wouldn't eat it and I wouldn't let her. The tortellini tasted like it had been heated in the microwave and tasted like mush. The shrimp was not cooked correctly. Also, it was lukewarm when the waitress put it on the table. Very disappointed and will not be back!
As an alumna of Mississippi State, I cannot call any visit back to my second home, Starkville, complete without a trip to The Veranda. They have the best blue plate specials, the best Sunday Brunch, and the best food period. When my relatives came down for my graduation, I took them here, and they have not stopped talking about it since. I love this place with all of my heart and my stomach! Can't wait to eat there once again.
Very fresh food & attentive staff. The veranda pasta is my favorite!!
Fun place to hang out with old friends when back in town.
