I love the varsity it's real American food much only problem is because of so much Grease and slaw the buns are a little soggy but all in all great tasting food an it's fun to see that they are usually the same people who have been there 30 40 50 years
No matter which location the same it nasty yes nasty gas station food is better than this
Ok, as a graduate of GT I know I'm biased, but I love the Varsity for what it is. Decent food with a charm and character that is unique in Atlanta. Don't expect anything gourmet here but the chili dogs are decent, the fries and rings are appropriately greasy, the fried pies are a treat and the FOs (frozen orange - think of an orange frosty) are yummy. The food is not that great to me. Greasy Onion rings, cheep hot dogs. I think it must just be the history behind the Varsity that draws everybody there. To me it's just another fast food place.
Whenever I need to take care of my grease craving, I go to the Varsity! I have two dogs, two all the way steaks, fries, rings, a peach pie & a large PC!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! What a fun place! On a recent trip, my husband and I ate there 3 times! Great chili dogs and onion rings. Very popular place!
I love their Frozen Orange in summer! Food can be very oily and greasy, a line can be long before/after GT game or any other major event in downtown. I think Varsity is a bit pricey than McDonald or Burger King. No refill for drink.
