Most of the staff are wonderful but my experience with Dr. Yacoub was terrible. He did not listen to me at all as I tried to explain my health history and insisted I get an unnecessary, painful and expensive biopsy. I have recently received a bill for a blood test done over a year ago. When I spoke to Robert Spaniol in the billing dept. I got the passive aggressive, snotty run around. Patient care is the top priority at The University of Kansas HealthSystem..
I had went in today for minor surgery, of an abscess in my tonsils, and the nurse and ENT were amazing, very caring, kind and gentle. I definitely recommend going here, very nice and taken care of place.
Want to say thanks to my cancer team at KU Medical!! Dr. Al-Rajabi, Dr. Al-Kasspooles, Mrs. Chez, Mrs. Romero, Mrs. Kelsey, and all the staff. I am back in the fight! Cured and telling my story. Thank you again, y’all saved my life!
It is the only place I would go for treatment. I spent a week there and had the very Best care I could have had. All the nurses, Doctors, and staff are the best. Wouldn't go anywhere else but there and I have to travel about 85 miles to get there. I would recommend the hospital to anyone.
My perfectly fine and healthy sister had an IUD operation, almost died from it.
They can care for people who need help with no insurance. my family has 2 members sent home because of no insurance. One with cancer and one with severe brain and body injuries. Poor people matter too.
Hats off to everyone who works for the health system...most people who work here will leave you with a sense that they love their job and are here to make a difference in medicine. You can feel the positivity and even though it’s busy you are likely to have an outstanding experience.
