Delicious food, fabulous wine, amazing gelato and what a lovely atmosphere. We come here whenever we’re in town. A hidden gem in downtown Brownwood!!!
Tonight was our first time to eat here. We had some of the best service I’ve ever received from Drex. The food and drinks were amazing! We will definitely be back.

Our waitress was so friendly and so was our welcome by the manager/ owner possibly. First time for us , we loved it. We will definitely be coming back to have dinner when we come back to visit our families.

Great for a small family celebration. We all had something different to share. Burger, chicken sandwich & The cuban sandwich was the big hit along with the chips & queso. Pasta dishes were good as well. First time guest for the majority of our party, we were pleased with the personal service & food. A must try is the lavender or raspberry gelato!!!
The Turtle is a diamond in the rough, "the rough" being this small city in the middle of Texas. If you're looking for a menu that goes above and beyond the common country staples of chicken fry's and burgers, and you prefer to shop local rather than give those corporate eateries your hard earned dollars, you will love this place! Wish I could leave a review but I can’t after waiting over a 1.5 hours for our food & we were never served. We had to leave to pick up our son. What a waste. So my review is—-do not go.
