Great craft ale bar / bookshop - what a combo! Impressed that the owner, Brian recalled the last time I visited two years ago and could even recall what we talked about! Will definitely visit again.
Most of these reviews are from the owner's friends. If you're an outside traveler, who makes the mistake of stopping in this town, don't let this page fool you into thinking you're walking into any kind of reasonable quality, at this bar. When you see a bar bragging about its bottom shelf whiskey selection like it's $500 a shot mid-shelf you're in a bar run by an owner who doesn't know what real quality is. Went here tonight for the first time with some friends. This is definitely a great place if you want to actually have a great conversation with your friends instead of shouting over people.. huge selection of beers and mixed drinks, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and the bartender Evan was very helpful in selecting some beers for us to try. it was really clean as well unlike the grimey other places I have been. The place to stop in St. Joe for a real cocktail made by a staff of Craftsmen and not dudes in backward ball caps pulling draws.
One of my favorite places to go!! The Tiger's Den has an awesome environment and always filled with great people!!
