Awesome staff and friendly atmosphere – I have to agree with the person below that I don?t know what everyone else is talking about. I moved to Denver about 5 months ago and go to the Tavern at least 3 times a week and absolutely love it. I have never had a bad experience there, all of the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious! I highly recommend the Tavern if you are looking for a fun, cool place to hang out with friends or meet new ones.
Great Food and Great service – What I loved the most was the atmosphere and the food. For a sports bar I thought the food was great. Our waitress was always trying to please us and having a lot of fun while doing it . The manager I met was polite, friendly and competent. The food had great portions, was tasteful and the presentation was great. It's all thumbs up for me. I have no idea what the other people are crying like babies about.
Always a fun time – As a resident of Uptown, I must say this is the place to check out. Great food, and an even greater staff. Bartenders and waitresses are top-notch, and the management is ALWAYS friendly and polite. Compared to all other bars in Denver, the Tavern Uptown is the place where I can always rely on going for a crowd of good people, amazing service, and a guaranteed good time.
Horrible Management – I think Uptown Tavern might have the worst management staff I have ever encountered. I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life, and what one particular manager did was borderline illegal. I can't believe that she is even employed, let alone as a manager. I used to love going to Uptown, but after being treated poorly on two different occassions, I will NEVER go back. I live in the uptown area and now go out of my way to avoid the tavern. I also tell everyone I know not to go near that place.
Love this bar! – I love this chill, cozy bar. Not to mention attractive men are prevalent throughout the bar most nights. After taking the Beamish off tap I quickly became accustom to the seasonal Sam Adams brews they rotate out. I few months ago some friends scored the couches in front of the fireplace. I felt like I was in my living room, but with the convenience of people bringing me beer and food!
Great place to meet people – I love this place! The atmosphere is perfect for getting together with friends after work or watching a game on the big screens. The fire place is my favorite area, though . . . very cosy. The service is always fast and friendly. If you haven't tried the Bloody Mary bar on the weekends during brunch, you're missing out!!
Management is HORRIBLE – This used to be my favorite bar. But my last experience was horrible, a group of us went out after a work party. Everyone in our group was served except my boyfriend who had a few drinks prior with dinner at the work party. They claim that he was belligerently drunk, we weren't even being loud and obnoxious just trying to have a good time, when the wait staff and management were unbelieveably rude. Fun atmophere – So, I'm new in town, and I tried Tavern Uptown after a friend kept telling me it was so great. I went there with a small group, and I have to say that I had a great time. It was fairly crowded, and it seemed that most people were well entrenched in their own groups, but the atmospere was nice, and the patio was awesome. THE ONLY THING COLDER THAN MY DINNER WAS THE ATMOSPHERE. – GOOD LOOKING SPOT. FRIENDLY AND COOL STAFF. COLD FOOD AND NO ATMOSPHERE. THEIR OTHER LOCATION IS WAY BETTER.
